Our Story
A true love story
Our story begins with a Great Blue Heron (Brian) who fell in love with a Wild Irish Rose (Beverly). Their friendship grew into a lasting romance, and together they built a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
Life brought both joy and hardship. After Beverly suffered a life-changing accident, they faced each challenge together with strength, determination, and unwavering love.
When it came time to begin a new chapter, the Heron returned to his ancestral nesting grounds on Prince Edward Island, where he created a sanctuary for his beloved Wild Irish Rose, a place where she could surround herself with the gardens she loved.
Together they spent seven and a half years building what became Heron's Nest Sanctuary.
Today, each spring and fall, you will find them walking the beaches of PEI collecting nature's treasures. Every piece of driftwood has been shaped by the sea, and every piece tells its own story.
Our driftwood creations are more than art. They are a celebration of nature, resilience, and a love story that continues to grow with every tide.
